Dan Frontera is a 21 year veteran of the US Army
and New York Army National Guard who served as both
a medic and combat engineer before retiring in 2006
as a Sergeant First Class. During his service Dan
was deployed to New York City on the night of September 11, 2001
in support of the World Trade Center Mission and to Iraq in
November, 2004 through November, 2005. Dan is the Assistant Coordinator
for Veterans Affairs for Erie Community College. He has helped create
the Veterans and Artists Collaborative and the SPCA Paws and Patriots® program.
Dan is currently part of
the effort to bring a memorial to the Buffalo
Naval and Military Park honoring the 54 Heroes
of the eight WNY counties who have lost their
lives in Iraq and Afghanistan. The goal is to
raise $50,000. If you would like more
